About the Therapist

20140618-134007-49207561.jpgRoslyn Strohl, M.A., LMFT

A licensed marriage and family therapist since 1984. Trained in Systems, DBT, Narrative Practice and currently studying new brain sciences and experienced as a Bereavement Counselor at Hospice of San Luis Obispo County.

Primary focus: creating a safe environment for reflective conversations, collaborative process, gaining self-regulation and sustaining systems. Revising the narrative of one’s life can lead to choice and change, acceptance and contentment. This is a task we repeat many times over the course of a life. The outcome is often rewarding and profound no matter what events take us there.

There are multiple systems in our lives in which we participate with varying levels of success. All change as does the social and historical context of our lives. In collaboration we fine tune our systems, both internal and external.
